The Anointing
Aaron Arulananthan is the founder of Awakening Revival, husband to Sanita and father to Anaya Selah and Jireh Jayce. He is a passionate missionary evangelist who boldly proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ, from the streets to the nations.
Aaron’s journey began in 2013, inside a jail cell, where he had a life-altering encounter with the Lord. In a place of deep brokenness, Aaron heard the voice of God calling him to a life of radical obedience and global purpose. That moment marked a profound turning point, igniting a fire in him to carry the message of salvation to the ends of the earth.
Soon after his release, God divinely connected Aaron to Reinhard Bonnke’s ministry through a close friend. While reading Evangelism by Fire, Aaron discovered that the Christ for All Nations School of Evangelism was coming to Toronto, Canada. In a remarkable act of God’s provision, the same friend covered the full cost of the school, opening the door for Aaron to be trained and equipped to walk in his calling..This is where Aaron was anointed to walk in His call of an evangelist.
The Appointing
At the very heart of Aaron’s identity is not a title or position but sonship. First and foremost, he is a son of God. His calling as an evangelist flows not from striving but from an intimate relationship with the Father. Through fully embracing his identity in Christ, Aaron has found a place of being secure, loved, and sent. It is from this deep place of intimacy that the fire to reach the nations overflows. The boldness to preach, the authority to heal, and the compassion to reach the lost are not simply traits of an evangelist but expressions of a son who walks closely with his Father.
From that point on, God began shaping Aaron not just for ministry but for maturity. Like David, there was a refining season between the anointing and the appointment. Through years of testing, growth, and surrender, God prepared Aaron to carry the fire of the Holy Spirit with purity, power, and purpose.
In the summer of 2019, God gave Aaron a clear and undeniable vision, a divine calling to spark a global awakening. From that moment, Awakening Revival was born, not just a ministry, but a movement ignited by the Holy Spirit to awaken the Body of Christ and proclaim the message of salvation to every nation, tribe, and tongue. It was during this time that the Lord confirmed Aaron’s call to the office of the evangelist.
In 2025, Aaron attended Firecamp London in Canada with Christ for All Nations, where he was further equipped, appointed, and commissioned as a missionary evangelist. This next phase ignited a focused passion for reaching youth and young people, carrying the gospel into schools and nations with boldness and urgency.
Today, Aaron leads Awakening Revival, a movement born from that original encounter with God. He travels the world preaching the gospel, seeing lives saved, healed, and set free by the power of Jesus Christ. Aaron’s story is one of redemption, divine timing, and unwavering purpose.
He lives to see the Body of Christ awakened, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and mobilized to fulfill the Great Commission, one soul at a time.
